Manage Wireless Network Security Settings

Adjust security settings on your MiFi® PRO M4 if you need a stronger password, a different security type or to hide your network name (SSID).

Steps

  2. From the left menu, click
    Network
    .
  3. Click the
    Wi-Fi tab
    .
  4. From the Primary Network or Guest Network section, configure the following settings as desired:
    • Network Name (SSID)
    • Security (e.g., Open, WPA2-PSK, etc.)
    • Password
  5. Click
    Generate
     to auto-create a new password that uses a mix of numbers and letters.
  6. Click any of the following:
    • Hide Network Name (SSID) on Display
    • Hide Password on Display
    • Broadcast Primary Network (SSID) or Broadcast Guest Network (SSID)
    • Wi-Fi Privacy Separation
  7. Click
    Save
    .
