Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your razr fold - 2026 to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Mobile Hotspot & Tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap the
    Use Wi-Fi hotspot switch
     to turn on.
  4. Tap any of the following to configure:
    • Hotspot name
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA2 PSK, etc.)
    • Hotspot password
      1. Tap the
        Password field
         to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
    • Hide my device
  5. Tap
    Speed & compatibility
     to adjust the frequency (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz) and Wi-Fi 6 Hotspot.
  6. Tap
    Timeout setting
     then select an option (e.g., 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc.).
  7. Tap
    Manage devices
     then do any of the following:
    • To manage allowed devices:
      1. Tap
        Managed allowed devices
        .
      2. If available, tap
        Allow all devices
        .
      3. Tap
        Add allowed device
        , enter the MAC address and device name (optional) then tap
        OK
        .
    • To limit the number of devices that can connect:
      1. Tap
        Device limit
        .
      2. Select an option (1, 2, 3, etc.).
