Apple iPad - Manage Sound Settings

Here's how to change notification sounds for incoming calls or messages on your iPad.

Open the

Settings app

on your Apple® iPad®.

Tap

Sounds

From the 'RINGTONE AND ALERT VOLUME' section, drag the slider to set the volume for ringer and alert volumes.

Tap the

Change with Buttons switch

to turn on or off.

While enabled, the volume of ringer and alerts can be adjusted using the volume buttons.

Tap any of the available options (e.g., Ringtone, Text Tone, etc.) then tap a ringtone or alert tone.

To return to the previous screen tap

Tap any of the following switches to turn on or off:

Lock Sounds
