Activate / Set Up Device - LG G Pad 8.3 LTE
Here's how to quickly set up your G Pad 8.3 LTE.
If you're upgrading your existing Verizon device, follow these steps to activate before proceeding with the instructions below.
To avoid potential issues, review the following:
- Accounts (e.g., Gmail, email, etc.) should be set up after activating the device (see Additional Support section at the bottom of this page).
- If performing a first-time (out-of-the-box) setup, ensure the SIM card is inserted.
- To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Data Service.
- If powered off, press and hold thePower button(located on the right edge) until the LG logo appears then release.Allow 4-5 seconds for the logo to appear.
- From the Welcome screen, tap the appropriate language then tapNext(located in the lower-right).Allow several seconds for activation to complete
- From the Tablet Activation screen, tapNext.
- From the Set Up Wi-Fi screen, tapSkip.
- From the Email Accounts screen, tapSkip.
- From the Add your account screen, tapSkipthen tapSkip Anyway.
- From the Name screen enter the desired info then tapNext.
- From the Google services screen, tap any of the following services to enable or disable then tapNext.
- Use Google's location service
- Help improve location services
- Help improve your Android experience
- From the Summary screen, tapDone.
