Manage Screen Lock Settings - LG G Pad 8.3 LTE

Here's how to configure the screen lock settings for your G Pad 8.3.
  2. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  3. Tap
    Lock screen
    .
  4. When using Swipe:
    • To change the swipe effect:
      1. Tap
        Screen swipe effect
        .
      2. Tap the preferred effect (e.g., Light particle, Mosaic, etc.).
  5. When using Knock Code:
    1. Tap the squares in a pattern to set your code then tap
      Done
      .
    2. Tap the squares in the same pattern then tap
      Confirm
      .
    3. Choose a Backup PIN or tap
      Skip
      .
  6. When using Pattern:
    1. To change the pattern effect:
      1. Tap
        Pattern effect
        .
      2. Tap the preferred effect (e.g., Dewdrop, Balloons, etc.).
    2. Tap
      Hidden pattern
       to enable or disable.
      Requires screen tap to display Pattern entry field when enabled.
    3. Tap
      Make Pattern visible
       to enable or disable.
  7. When using PIN:
    1. Tap
      Hidden PIN
       to enable or disable.
      Requires screen tap to display PIN entry field when enabled.
    2. Tap
      Random PIN entry
       to enable or disable.
      Entry keypad displays numbers in random order when enabled.
  8. When using Password:
    • Tap
      Hidden password
       to enable or disable.
      Password entry field hidden when checked.
      The password entry field is hidden until the screen is tapped.
  9. To change the Lock screen background:
    1. Tap
      Wallpaper
       .
    2. From the Set wallpaper prompt, tap 'Gallery' or 'Wallpaper gallery'.
    3. Select the preferred image then tap
      Set wallpaper
      .
      When selecting an image from the Gallery:
      1. Tap the appropriate album then tap the preferred picture.
      2. If prompted with Complete action using, tap the preferred 'Crop photo' or 'Crop picture' then tap 'Always' or 'Just once'.
      3. Adjust the cropping frame as desired then tap
        OK
        .
  10. To change the app shortcuts on the Lock screen:
    1. Tap
      Shortcuts
      .
    2. Tap the appropriate shortcut.
    3. From the list of apps, tap the preferred app.
    4. Tap
      Weather animation
       to display on lock screen.
  11. To display contact info on the Lock screen:
    1. Tap
      Contact info for lost phone
       .
    2. Tap
      Always on Lock screen
       to enable or disable.
    3. Enter or edit the information to display then tap
      Save
       .
  12. To change the lock delay:
    • Tap
      Security lock timer
       then select the preferred duration (15 sec, 2 min, etc.).
  13. Tap
    Power button instantly locks
     to enable or disable.
