Fios Digital Voice is an advanced voice service on Verizon's 100% fiber-optic network that connects to your home using an optical network terminal (ONT). It has a wide variety of enhanced calling features that provide more control and flexibility than traditional voice service. You can also manage your calls from any computer with an Internet connection with the FDV Online Account Manager.

Traditional telephone service is delivered through a pair of copper wires that run from the telephone lines along the road to a box on the outside or inside of your home called a Network Interface Device (NID). Traditional Copper Voice service provides standard calling features.
