Verizon Home & Fios: Final Bill, Deposits, and Refunds FAQs

If you disconnect service while you’re still under contract, you may be charged an Early Termination Fee. Your early termination fee starts at $350 after your first 30-day risk-free guarantee and reduces for each month you retain your services.

You receive your final bill on your regular billing date. If your disconnect date is close to your bill date, a standard bill may be generated before the official final statement.

After you’ve disconnected your Verizon Fios service, you can still view and pay online.

How to view your bill depends on the scenario that matches your account:

• You only had Fios service, not mobile service: When Fios service is disconnected, we hold the profile for 6 months before unregistering it, so you can sign in and view the final bill.
• You had both Fios & mobile accounts with a single sign-in (one Verizon ID): When Fios service disconnects, we keep the Fios service attached to the profile so you can sign in and see your final Fios bill. After 6 months, your user ID will become Mobile-only.

Good to know: If the Fios account has digital purchases or ongoing +play subscriptions, we retain the Fios profile indefinitely.

If you are unable to view your final Fios bill online: Contact Us directly to speak with a Customer Service Representative to request a bill through the mail.

You remain enrolled in these services through your final payment to ensure your balance is settled on time.

• My Verizon website: Sign in to your payment home page.
• In person: For a list of payment locations in your area, visit verizon.com/sales/stores/paymentoptions.html. 
• After 180 Days: Use the specific legacy payment link provided on the Verizon website.

Refunds may take 60 days or more to be processed.

Sign in to your Refund Adjustment History page to review your refund.

Refund methods:

For active accounts: Verizon reviews your account after 12 months (6 months in VA). You qualify if you paid your bill in full and on time for 10 of those 12 months (5 of 6 months in VA). We refund the deposit to your original credit card once requirements are met. If you don't qualify initially, we review your account every 30 days.

For disconnected accounts: We apply the deposit to any outstanding balance first and refund the difference through a refund check or prepaid card.

If you cancel before installation, we will refund your deposit to your credit card within 3-5 business days.

Yes, we apply the deposit refund to any outstanding charges and refund you the remaining difference. If the dates are close, a standard bill may be generated before the official final bill statement is issued.

Pro-rated credits will appear on the bill for any charges that were billed in advance for the period following your disconnect date.

Sign in to your Billing History page. View your bill online for 180 days after your service is disconnected.

• Disconnected accounts, you’re able to sign in to:
  • My Verizon website: Sign in to the Refund Adjustment History page.
• Active accounts:
  • My Verizon website: Sign in to the Refund Adjustment History page.
  • My Verizon app: Select Me > tap Fios > tap Bill Overview > scroll down to Adjustments & Refunds.

There may be more than 1 bill after you disconnect, including any new charges or credits that were processed after the initial closing.

You can view your bills for 180 days after you disconnect:

• My Verizon website: Sign in to your Billing History page.
• Verizon app: Select Me > tap Fios >  select Bill > scroll down to Billing History

Refunds can take 60 days. If that time has passed, review your last 24 months of bills on:

• My Verizon website: Sign in to your Billing History.
• My Verizon app: Select Me > tap Fios > Bill Overview > scroll down to Billing History.
• Check with your bank: Verify if a credit was issued to your original card or bank account.
• Contact us: If you still cannot find the refund, we will investigate it for you.

If your disconnect order falls within 5 days (before or after) your bill date, that statement may not reflect the request. These pro-rated credits will appear on your next billing cycle.
