Google Pixel 7 Pro Software Update
Verizon is pleased to announce a software update for your device. This software update has been tested to help optimize device performance, resolve known issues, apply the latest security patches and, when available, deliver new features.
Before you download:
- Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure it has a strong Verizon wireless network connection.
- Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.

What's changing:
The current software update addresses the following:
- Security
- Most up to date Android security patches for your device
- Audio
- Speaker icon delay occurred when adjusting audio settings
- Occasional audio crashes experienced
- Display & Graphics
- Background blur briefly disappeared in the All Apps screen during search
- Framework
- Temporary freeze or unresponsiveness related to background processing of Android intelligence features
- Device occasionally crashed when certain services started up
- User Interface
- Delay experienced when opening the audio output selector after playing music in the background
- Contacts
- Unable to see in-call screen when initiating a call from the work profile Contacts app, preventing the user from ending the call

What's changing:
The current software update provides general improvements and addresses issues that occasionally occurred under certain conditions, listed below:

- The battery icon displayed a blank or question mark (?) on the status bar
- The battery's 80% charge limit setting may be incorrect
- Bluetooth®
- Connection to certain Bluetooth devices or accessories was prevented

- "Extra Dim" Quick Settings tile toggling issue
- The system could run out of memory due to splash screens not closing properly
- Stability issue when using Picture-in-Picture mode during display changes
- General improvements to system stability and performance

- The most up to date Android security patches for your device

- Stability issues caused by memory allocation failures in sensor-related features

- General improvements to system stability and performance in certain conditions
- User Interface
- Keyboard flickered or failed to appear when searching in the app drawer
- Google Home controls would launch as a blank screen in certain conditions
- Screen froze when using gesture navigation or app switching
- Message notification sounds sometimes would not play
- Layouts and animations would sometimes occur during transitions
- UI elements in the notification shade would sometimes overlap
- Semi-transparent background remained on the screen after launching the camera when double-pressing the power button
- Swipe-up gesture failed to trigger overview or exit apps
- Quick Settings (QS) shade issues sometimes occurred
- System UI crashed when interacting with notification onboarding buttons
- Notification shade sometimes incorrectly displayed the quick settings shelf instead of notifications after unlocking the screen
- General improvements to performance and stability in certain UI transitions and animations
