Here's how to place a video call over Wi-Fi - HD Voice on your smartphone.
- Video Calling over Wi-Fi requires both parties to have HD Voice capable devices and be provisioned for HD Voice service. For video call over HD only, click here.
- Video Call is automatically handed over to Wi-Fi from 4G LTE when a known Wi-Fi access point is available.
- Similarly Video Calls automatically hand off from Wi-Fi to 4G LTE when Wi-Fi signal is weak or no longer available.
- No data charges apply for video calls over Wi-Fi; however, the voice portion of the call is billed per minute of use.
- HD Voice is supported only on HD Voice capable Bluetooth headsets.
- HD Voice is not recommended if you have a TTY / TDD device.
