Activate HD Voice - Android™
Here's how to activate HD Voice on your Android smartphone.
- HD Voice isn't recommended if you use a TTY / TDD device.
- HD Voice on the smartphone must be turned on if you use a 4G Network Extender.
- HD Voice provides clear and more natural sounding audio on voice calls when both parties are using HD-voice enabled phones over the Verizon 4G LTE network.
- The voice portion of the call is billed per minute of use and the video portion is billed as data. For additional info, see these HD Voice FAQs.
- Some devices may be auto-provisioned.
- Requirements:
- must be in the Verizon 4G or 5G coverage area.
- must have HD Voice capable devices and be set up for HD Voice service.
