Samsung Galaxy S® 6 / S® 6 edge - Add a Virtual Private Network

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 edge to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secured remote server.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    More
    VPN
    Basic VPN
    .
  3. Tap
    Add VPN
    in the upper right.
  4. If presented with a secure screen lock notification, tap
    OK
    .
    Refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock (pattern, PIN, or password only) for assistance.
  5. From the Name field, enter the applicable name.
    Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  6. From the Type field, tap the
    dropdown menu icon
    dropdown menu icon then select the appropriate VPN type:
  7. Enter the appropriate info into the applicable fields then tap
    SAVE
    .
    If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
    to configure the following, which vary depending on the selected VPN type:
    • DNS search domains
    • DNS servers
    • Forwarding routes
