Samsung Galaxy S® 6 / S® 6 edge - Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock
Here's how to set up, change or disable the screen lock option (e.g., password, pattern, etc.) for your Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 edge.
- Open theSettings app.
- Navigate:.If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
- Do one of the following:
- Set up Pattern
- TapPattern.
- Draw an unlock pattern that connects at least 4 dots then tapCONTINUE.
- Draw the same pattern again then tapCONFIRM.
- If presented, select a notification option then tapDONE.
- Set up PIN
- TapPIN.
- Enter a numeric PIN that's 4 to 16 digits then tapCONTINUE.
- Re-enter the numeric PIN then tapOK.
- If presented, select a notification option then tapDONE.
- Set up Password
- TapPassword.
- Enter a password that's 4 to 16 characters and contains at least one letter then tapCONTINUE.
- Re-enter the password then tapOK.
- If presented, select a notification option then tapDONE.
- Disable Screen Lock
- Tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
- If prompted to clear credential storage, tap CANCEL or CLEAR.
