Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (2015) - Reset App

Here's how to reset apps if your Galaxy Tab S2 crashes, resets or freezes.
Personal data such as browser bookmarks and other customized app settings can be backed up to Google's servers.
  1. Open the
    Apps icon
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
    Apps
    Application manager
    .
  3. Do any of the following:
    • Reset Individual App
Resetting an app doesn't remove saved items on the device (e.g., texts, pictures, etc.); however, saved passwords for Wi-Fi, settings, backgrounds, etc. within the app itself may be reset.
      1. Locate then select the appropriate app.
If system apps aren't visible, tap the
        MORE icon
        Menu icon then tap
        Show system apps
        .
      2. Tap
        FORCE STOP
        .
      3. On the warning screen, tap
        FORCE STOP
        .
      4. Tap
        CLEAR DATA
        .
Option may not be available for all apps.
Resetting an app or clearing data storage may delete saved info within the app (e.g., calendar events may be lost).
If Verizon Messages is reset, the tablet will need to be re-paired to the smartphone it is associated with.
      5. Tap
        OK
        .
    • Reset All App Preferences
This option resets app preferences for disabled apps, notification restrictions for apps, default apps, background data restrictions for apps, and permission restrictions.
      1. Tap the
        Menu icon
        Menu icon.
      2. Tap
        Reset app preferences
        .
      3. Tap
        RESET
        .
