Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ - Add / Edit / Delete a Contact

Here's how to add, edit or remove a contact entry on your Galaxy S8 / S8+.
Expand All
  1. Open the
    Contacts app
     Contacts icon.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To add a contact, tap the
      Add icon
       Add Contacts icon.
    • To edit an existing contact, select the desired contact then tap
      Edit
      .
  3. If presented, select an account (e.g., Tablet, Google, etc.).
    Depending on the account, the options presented may vary.
  4. Enter or edit any of the info fields (e.g., Name, Phone, Email, etc.) then tap
    Save
    .
    To add a pause (a 2-second delay between numbers) or wait, tap
    *+#
     then tap Pause or Wait.
  1. Open the
    Contacts app
     Contacts icon.
  2. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Action overflow icon then tap
    Delete
    .
  3. Select the desired contact.
    Tap the
    All
     to select all.
  4. Tap
    Delete
    .
  5. Tap
    Delete
     to confirm.
