Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ - Add a Virtual Private Network

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your Galaxy S8 / S8+ to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secured remote server.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    More connection settings
    VPN
    .
  3. Tap the
    Menu icon
     More menu icon, then tap
    Add VPN profile
    .
  4. If presented with a lock screen notification, tap
    OK
    .
  5. From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
    Contact the VPN administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.
  6. From the Type field, tap the
    dropdown menu
     Drop down menu icon then select the VPN type.
  7. Enter the required information into the applicable fields then tap
    Save
    .
    If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
    to configure.
