ASUS ZenPad™ Z8s - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, timeout settings, etc.) on your ZenPad Z8s.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Tethering and Mobile Hotspot
    Set up Mobile Hotspot
    .
    Mobile Hotspot must be turned on.
  3. Set up the following then tap
    Save
    .
    • Network name (e.g. Verizon-P00J-xxxx).
    • Hide my device
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA2 PSK)
    • Password
      To change the password:
      1. Tap the Password field then enter the preferred password.
      2. Tap
        Save
        .
        The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
    • Show password
  4. Tap
    Advanced options
     to:
    • Channel
      Tap
      Advanced options
      , tap
      AP Channel
      , then select from auto or bands 1 - 11.
    • Disable Mobile Hotspot when inactive.
      Select an option (e.g., Never, After 5 minutes, etc.
