ASUS ZenPad Z8s - Factory Data Reset (Powered On)

Here's how to factory / hard reset your ZenPad Z8s if the screen freezes or call, app, audio or sync issues occur.

Perform a factory data reset only if absolutely necessary as it removes your Google™ account and all data including system data, app data and media.

Music, pictures and videos can be backed up to a computer.

Personal data (e.g., Wi-Fi passwords, browser bookmarks, etc.) can be backed up to Google's servers.

Open the

Settings app

on your ASUS ZenPad™ Z8s then tap

Backup & reset

An alternate reset method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.

Factory data reset

Tap

Reset device

If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern.

Tap

Erase everything

Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.

If needed, set up your device. If troubleshooting third-party apps, don't restore app data.
