Here's how to set up a personal / corporate email account on your Galaxy Note8.
Add a Personal Email Account
- Open theSettings app.
- Navigate: .
- TapEmail.
- Select the applicable account type (e.g., Email, Personal IMAP, Personal POP3, etc.).If presented, select the account sub-type (e.g., Yahoo, AOL, Outlook.com, Verizon.net, etc.).
- Enter the email address and password then tapSign in.
- If presented, enter the appropriate info (e.g., Username, Password, Server, SMTP server, Port, etc.) then tapNext.If not presented, skip to step 8.If you're not sure what your server info is, here are some common personal email server addresses. Contact your email provider if more assistance is needed or your server info isn't listed.
- Configure account options (e.g., Sync schedule / frequency, Inbox download size, etc.) as desired then tapDone.Depending on the email account type, the available options may vary.
- Enter an Account name (optional) then tapDone.If presented, ensure a name is entered for outgoing email.
Add a Corporate Email Account
Verizon verifies access to data services only, which can be checked by viewing a website. If you need assistance setting up a corporate email account, contact your Exchange / IT admin.
- Open theSettings app.
- Navigate: .
- TapMicrosoft Exchange ActiveSync(for corporate email accounts).
- Enter your corporate email address and password then tapSign in.If setup is unsuccessful, tapManual setup.
- If needed, engage your Exchange / IT admin for more support on:
- Email address
- Server address
- Domain
- Port number
- Username
- Password
- Activate device administrationApplies corporate security policy (e.g., Set up password, Device encryption).Device encryption can exceed 60 minutes.
- Sync options (e.g., Email, Contacts, Calendar)
