Samsung Galaxy Note8 - Add / Remove Fingerprint Recognition

Here's how to set up and manage fingerprint recognition to unlock your Galaxy Note8.
For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and moisture-free.
  2. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Biometrics and security
    .
  3. Tap
    Fingerprints
    .
  4. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  5. Perform one of the following:
    • First Time Setup
      1. Place your finger on the
        fingerprint sensor
         (back of the device) until it vibrates then lift and repeat until the process completes.
      2. Tap
        Done
         (lower-right).
    • Add More Fingerprints
      1. Tap
        Add fingerprint
        .
        Up to 4 fingerprints can be registered on the device.
      2. Place your finger on the
        fingerprint sensor
         (back of the device) until it vibrates then lift.
      3. Tap
        Done
        .
    • Remove Fingerprint(s)
      1. Tap (check) the fingerprint(s) you want to remove.
      2. Tap
        Remove
         (upper-right).
      3. To confirm, tap
        Remove
        .
