How to Check Your Voicemail Messages

Whether you prefer an app or calling in, these steps help you quickly retrieve your voicemail messages from any Android phone.

Before you begin

Visual Voicemail users can check voicemail using the *86 method in addition to using the Visual Voicemail app. The Voicemail Notification option is controlled through the Visual Voicemail app, not via Personal Options, and isn't adjustable.
If you have an iPhone, free Basic Visual Voicemail, or Premium Visual Voicemail - refer to this Voicemail guide for options.
In addition to the steps in the Voicemail guide, some options are available through the settings within the Visual Voicemail app.

Visual Voicemail

  1. If necessary, sign in to the Visual Voicemail app.
  2. Tap new messages to play the message.

Basic Voicemail

  1. Dial
    *86 (*VM)
     then press
    Send
    .
    When not calling from the phone, call your 10-digit mobile number then interrupt the greeting by pressing the
    Pound # key
    .
  2. Enter the password then press the
    Pound # key
    .
  3. Press
    4
     to change personal options.
    If this option isn't available, press
    *
     for the main menu.
