Samsung Galaxy Note9 - Add / Edit / Delete a Contact

Here's how to add, edit or remove a contact entry on your Galaxy Note9.

Add / Edit a Contact

  1. Open the
    Contacts app
    Contacts icon.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To add a contact, tap the
      Add icon
      Add icon.
    • To edit an existing contact, select the desired contact then tap
      Edit
      .
  3. If presented, select an account (e.g., Tablet, Google, etc.).
    Depending on the account, the options presented may vary.
  4. Enter or edit any of the info fields (e.g., Name, Phone, Email, etc.) then tap
    Save
    .
    To add a pause (a 2-second delay between numbers) or wait, tap
    *+#
    then tap Pause or Wait.

Delete a Contact

  1. Open the
    Contacts app
    Contacts icon.
  2. Tap the
    Menu icon
    Menu icon then tap
    Delete
    .
  3. Select (check) the applicable contact(s).
    To select all contacts, tap
    All
    .
  4. Tap
    Delete
    .
  5. To confirm, tap
    Move to trash
    .
    The contact is moved to the trash and deleted permanently after 15 days, or contacts can be deleted from the trash manually:
    1. Tap the
      Menu icon
      Menu icon then tap
      Trash
      .
    2. Touch and hold the contact you want to delete.
      To select all, tap
      All
      .
    3. Tap
      Delete
      .
    4. Tap
      Delete
      again to confirm.
