Here's how to extend battery life, view charging status / remaining battery and determine what uses the most power on your Galaxy Tab A (8.0).

View Battery Life

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Device care

Battery

Battery usage

Battery life is measured by standby time, talk time and data usage.

Review the Past and predicted usage graph.

The graph displays the time since it was last charged to 100%.

Review the 'Battery usage since last full charge' section.

Percentage indicates the remaining battery life and/or charging status.

To improve battery life, you can:

Stop running apps that are not being used.

Disable apps that are consuming too much battery or RAM and not being used.

Contact the app developer if an app appears to cause excessive battery drain.

Adjust brightness to lowest setting and ensure 'Outdoor mode' is turned off.

Turn GPS off when not in use.

If disabled, certain apps or services may not work properly.

Turn Wi-Fi off when not in use.

If disabled, certain apps or services may not work properly.

Remove widgets that automatically update.
