Samsung Galaxy Tab A (10.5) - Add a Virtual Private Network

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your Galaxy Tab A (10.5) to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secured remote server.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    More connection settings
    VPN
    .
  3. Tap the
    Menu icon
    Menu icon then tap
    Add VPN profile
    .
  4. If presented with a secure screen lock notification, tap
    OK
    .
    Refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
  5. In the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
  6. In the Type field, tap the
    dropdown menu icon
    Dropdown menu icon then select the appropriate VPN type (e.g., PPTP, L2TP/IPSec PSK, etc.).
  7. Enter the appropriate info into the applicable fields then tap
    Save
    .
    If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
    to configure.
    The available options vary depending on the selected VPN type.
