Verizon GizmoTablet - Customize Your Home Screen

Here's how to add / remove Home screen items (widgets, apps or folders) and set the wallpaper on your GizmoTablet.
To customize the Home screen on your Verizon GizmoTablet™ any of the following:
  • Add Apps
  • Add Widgets
  • Add / Remove Folders
  • Remove Apps / Widgets
  • Set Wallpaper

A shortcut to an individual contact or bookmark can be added to the Home screen via a
widget
.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag the shortcut to the preferred Home screen then release.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen.
Widgets are mini-apps (e.g., weather, clock, calendar, etc.) that can be added to a Home screen. They aren't the same as shortcuts as they generally display info and take up more space than a single icon.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
     (at the bottom).
  3. Touch and hold a widget.
  4. Drag the widget to the preferred home screen then release.
    For the widget to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space on the desired screen.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate widget.
    Options vary depending upon the type of widget.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g. Email).
  2. Drag the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g. Gmail) then release.
    A folder containing the shortcuts is created (folder name is blank by default).
    • To rename the folder:
      1. Tap a folder.
      2. Tap the current folder name (at the top).
      3. Enter the new name then tap
        Done
        (lower-right).
    • To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widgets, shortcuts, folders, etc.) until the menu appears then release.
  2. Tap
    Remove from Home
    .
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpapers
     (lower-left).
  3. From the 'My wallpapers' section, tap
    View all
     (upper-right).
  4. Perform one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
      2. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, etc.).
      3. Tap
        Set as wallpaper
         (at the bottom).
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        From Gallery
         (the first wallpaper option).
        If prompted, review the location information message then tap
        Allow
        .
      2. Locate then select the preferred picture.
      3. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, etc.).
      4. Tap
        Set as wallpaper
        (at the bottom).
