Samsung Chromebook Plus - Factory Data Reset (Powered On)

Here's how to reset your Chromebook Plus if the screen freezes or call, app, audio or sync issues occur.
Perform a factory data reset only if necessary as it removes your Google account and all data including system data, app data and media.
  • Music, pictures and videos can be backed up to a computer.
  • Personal data (e.g., Wi-Fi passwords, browser bookmarks, etc.) can be backed up to Google's servers.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
An alternate reset method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.
  2. Navigate:
    Advanced
    Powerwash
    .
  3. Tap or click
    Restart
    .
  4. Tap or click
    Powerwash
    .
Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.
If needed, set up your device. If troubleshooting third-party apps, don't restore app data.
