moto e5 go - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to set up your moto e5 go.

To avoid potential issues, review the following:

If you need to activate or switch devices on your account, watch this video.

To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.

If powered off, press and hold the

Power button

until the Motorola logo appears then release.

From the 'Hi there' screen, select the appropriate language then tap

START

From the 'Phone Activation' screen, tap

If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).

If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.

From the 'Connect to Wi-Fi' screen, select a network then enter the password.

If you choose 'SKIP', you can add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.

From the 'Copy apps & data' screen, select the preferred option.

If troubleshooting, don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.

If you choose to 'SKIP', you can add you existing Google account your after setup is complete.

From the 'Protect your phone' screen, select an option.

If you, choose 'Not now', you can add a screen lock option after setup is complete.

From the 'Google services' screen, select the desired options to turn on Switch on

or off

then tap

From the 'Verizon Services' screen, select the desired options to turn Switch on

or off

then tap

From the 'About your privacy' screen, tap

ACCEPT AND CONTINUE

to use current settings.

Tap

GOT IT

to exit the device setup.
