Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your Galaxy S10 / S10+ / S10e to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Configure
    .
  4. Configure any of the following:
    • Network name
    • Security (Open or WPA2 PSK)
    • Password
      1. Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        Save
        .
    • Band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz preferred)
  5. To hide your Mobile Hotspot's name, tap
    Advanced
     then tap the
    Hidden network switch
     to turn on.
  6. Tap
    Turn off when no device connected for
     then select an option (e.g., Never timeout, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 60 minutes, etc.).
  7. Tap
    Save
    .
