Add / Remove a Wi-Fi Connection

Connect your Galaxy S10 5G to a visible or hidden Wi-Fi network or remove a saved one. This can help with troubleshooting or make it easier to connect to networks you use.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is turned on, then do one of the following:
    • To connect to an available Wi-Fi network:
      1. Tap the preferred Wi-Fi network.
      2. Enter the appropriate password then tap
        Connect
        .
        To view the password as it is being entered, tap the
        Show password icon
        .
    • To manually connect to a Wi-Fi network:
      1. Tap
        Add network
        .
      2. From the Network name field, enter the appropriate name.
      3. From the Security field, tap the
        Dropdown menu
        .
      4. Tap the applicable security option (e.g., None, WEP, WPA/WPA2-Personal, etc.).
      5. From the Password field, enter the appropriate password.
      6. Ensure additional settings (e.g., EAP method, CA certificate, etc.) are configured appropriately then tap
        Save
        .
    • To remove a Wi-Fi connection:
      1. Tap the
        Gear icon
        next to the Wi-Fi network being removed.
      2. Tap
        Forget
        .
