Sonim XP8 - Manage Data Usage

Here's how to change the data usage cycle and set data warnings and / or limits on your Sonim XP8.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
     on your Sonim XP8®.
  2. Navigate:
    Network & Internet
    Mobile Network
    Data usage
    .
  3. Tap the
    Settings icon
     Settings gear icon to the right of the Billing cycle to do one of the following:
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Mobile data is turned off when the data usage reaches the limit indicated by the orange line. To use apps needing data, use Wi-Fi or adjust the limit.
      1. Tap
        Set data limit to turn on
        .
      2. If presented with a "Limiting data usage" prompt, review the message then tap
        OK
        .
      3. Tap
        Data limit
        , enter the data usage limit level then tap
        SET
        .
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the black warning line.
      1. Tap
        Set data warning
         to turn on.
      2. Tap
        Data warning
        , enter the data usage warning level then tap
        SET
        .
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
      1. Tap
        App data usage cycle
        .
      2. Select a billing cycle date then tap
        SET
        .
        Refer to your statement for the bill cycle date.
To view or limit individual app usage, refer to View / Restrict Data Usage by App.
