5G MiFi M1000 - Turn Network Name (SSID) On / Off
Here's how to display or not display your 5G MiFi M1000 Wi-Fi name to other devices.
- Your 5G MiFi® M1000 has a network name or SSID (Service Set Identifier) assigned to it.
- The SSID is typically broadcast by default, but can be turned off for greater security.
- When turned off, any device attempting to connect for the first time must know the SSID name and password to set up a manual connection to it.For the easiest connection experience, it's recommended to leave broadcast on.
- Access the Admin Web Interface.
- From the Settings section, click theNavigation arrow
(lower-right) to open the Settings page.
- ClickWi-Fi.
- Click thePrimary Network tab.
- ClickBroadcast primary network name (SSID)to turn on or off.On (broadcasting) when a check mark is present.
- ClickHide primary network name (SSID) on the Jetpack screento turn on or off.You can also hide the guest network name on the Jetpack screen (from the Guest Network tab).
- ClickSave Changes.
