Samsung Galaxy A50 - Turn App Permissions On / Off

Here's how to turn permissions for installed apps on your Galaxy A50 on or off.
  • Downloaded apps designed for Android only ask for permission the first time you use a feature rather than asking for permission out of context.
  • Turning off certain permissions may result in basic features no longer working as intended.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Apps
    .
  3. Locate then select the appropriate app.
    If system apps aren't visible:
    1. Tap the
      Filter and sort icon
      Filter and sort icon.
    2. Tap the
      Show system apps switch
      to turn on.
  4. If available, tap
    Permissions
    (Privacy section) then do one of the following:
    • To allow an app permission:
      1. From the 'Denied' section, tap an available permission (e.g., Contacts, Location, etc.).
      2. Tap an option other than deny (e.g., 'Ask every time' or 'Allow only while using the app'.
      3. Tap the
        Back icon
        Back icon to return to the 'App permissions' screen.
    • To deny an app permission:
      1. From the 'Allowed' section, tap an available permission (e.g., Contacts, Location, etc.).
      2. Tap
        Deny
        .
      3. If prompted, review message then tap
        Deny anyway
        to confirm.
