Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e - Change Network Mode

If your Galaxy Tab S5e drops data connections due to being near a network border, locking onto a specific network can help; however, roaming charges may apply.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Mobile networks
    Network mode
    .
  3. Tap the applicable setting:
    • Global
: This is the preferred setting for most locations and should only be changed if you experience service issues.
    • LTE
: This setting should only be selected if you experience service issues in locations that offer multiple network types and only LTE is needed.
    • UMTS
: This setting should only be selected if you experience service issues in locations that offer multiple network types and only UMTS is needed.
The preferred international carrier is automatically selected.
      With UMTS selected, tap
      Network operators
      then tap
      Select manually
to choose an alternate carrier. This may require as many as 6 registration attempts with that carrier before successful registration.
