5G Home Router
Change the Admin PasswordChanging the admin password for your 5G Home Router improves security, prevents unauthorized access to your network settings and helps keep your home internet connection private and secure.
Before you begin
- This content is for 5G Home Internet. For Fios Home Internet, refer to this support page.
- 5G Home Internet service is currently offered in specific areas; to check for 5G coverage availability, refer to this support page.
This info doesn't apply to changing the password used to connect to the Router via Wi-Fi. The admin password is used to sign in to the device web interface to manage settings (e.g. network name, network password, etc.).
You must be connected to the 5G Home Internet network to access the admin page.
Steps
- Sign in to the Admin WebGUI.
- From the Router Home screen, click theDropdown menuin the upper right then clickAdmin Settings.
- From Admin Settings, enter a password that contains 8-32 characters into the following fields then clickChange Password:
- New password
- Confirm new password
- From Security Questions, select the applicable security questions, enter the desired answers then clickSave.
