Connected Car Wi-Fi (Volkswagen) - Sign Up for Free Trial

Here's how to sign up for a free Volkswagen in-vehicle Wi-Fi service trial.
  • The free trial promotion ends 30 days from activation date or once the data usage cap (1 GB) is reached, whichever occurs first.
  • To sign up for the Wi-Fi trial, you need to:
    • locate then take note of the IMEI for your Volkswagen.
    • follow the steps below or contact Volkswagen Support at 877-820-2290 (vehicles manufactured prior to 2020).
      For Volkswagen Car-Net® support on 2020 models and newer, contact 833-982-2048.
  1. Open the myVW mobile app.
  2. Tap
    Shop
     then tap the
    Price tag icon
     (bottom).
  3. Tap
    Wi-Fi Hotspot
    .
  4. Tap
    Verizon Wi-Fi Trial
    .
    Accept Verizon Terms to activate 30 day / 1GB trial, whichever comes first.
    You must activate the Wi-Fi trial first to view other plans to purchase.

Current Verizon customers can add a vehicle to an existing data plan.
  1. Open the myVW app.
  2. Tap the
    Price tag icon
     (bottom).
  3. Tap
    Wi-Fi Hotspot
     then tap
    Hotspot Unlimited Wi-Fi
    .
  4. Enter your 10-digit Verizon Account phone number and zip code then tap
    Verify
    .
  5. From the Account Verified message, tap
    Submit
    .
  6. Review Confirmation message.

If you are not a current Verizon customer, you can purchase a monthly unlimited plan
  1. Open the myVW app.
  2. Tap the
    Price tag icon
     (bottom).
  3. Tap
    Wi-Fi Hotspot
     then tap
    Hotspot Unlimited Wi-Fi
    .
  4. Review price then tap
    Continue to Purchase
    .
  5. To continue, review the Verizon legal terms then tap
    Agree
    .
  6. Select the preferred payment method then tap
    Checkout
    .
  7. From Checkout Review screen, ensure everything is correct then tap
    Place Order
    .
