Here's how to use the real-time text (RTT) feature on your razr.
Real-time text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written, without waiting or the need for an additional device.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the
    Phone icon
    Phone icon (lower-left).
    If unavailable, swipe screen up to access all apps then tap
    Phone
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Menu icon Menu icon
    Settings
    Accessibility
    .
  3. Tap
    Real Time Text (RTT) Call
    .
  4. Tap the
    switch
    to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
    If presented with 'No Video Calls or Call Merging', review the message then tap
    OK
    to confirm.
    When RTT is enabled on both devices no audio is heard on the call. If you aren't hearing audio make sure RTT is turned off.
  1. With RTT enabled, from a Home screen, tap the
    Phone icon
    Phone icon.
    If unavailable, swipe screen up to access all apps then tap
    Phone
    .
  2. Enter the number or select the desired contact then tap the
    RTT Call icon
    RTT Call icon.
    Once the call connects, RTT displays.

  1. If RTT is turned off, while on a call, navigate:
    Menu icon Menu icon
    Show RTT Keyboard
    .
    Show RTT keyboard
  1. While on a call, tap the
    End icon
    (at the top) to end the call.
