Verizon Family - Sync Dependent's Contact List
Here's how to sync your Dependent's contacts with Verizon Family so you can see the contact details when viewing call / text activity from your device.
Before completing the steps below:
- ensure the Verizon Family app is installed on the Guardian's device.
- sign in to the app using a My Verizon user ID or mobile number that has Account Owner or Manager access privileges.
- ensure the Guardian and Dependent devices are paired.
- From the Verizon Family app, tap theFamily Profiles tab.
- Choose the profile of the family member you wish to view.
- From the 'Call & texts' card, tapDetails(located in the lower-right corner of Call & Text activity window).
- To the right of 'Text history', tapSync now.If prompted to update the Companion app, do the following:
- TapUpdate now.
- TapSend text.
- Open the text message on your Dependent's device to update the Companion app.
- TapOK, got it.
- Open the Verizon Family Companion app on your Dependent's device.
- Do one of the following:
- If your Dependent's device is an Android™:
- TapContinue.
- TapALLOWto grant Verizon Family Companion access to your contacts.
- If your Dependent's device is an Apple® iPhone:®
- TapContinue.
- TapOKto allow the Companion app access to your contacts.
