Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G / S20 Ultra 5G
Turn Android Device Protection On / Off

Android™ Device Protection helps keep your Galaxy S20+ 5G / S20 Ultra 5G safe, but should be turned off before resetting, trading or selling it.

Before you begin

Find My Device (included with Android™ Device Protection) allows you to remotely locate, lock or erase your smartphone if it's lost or stolen.
Android Device Protection (Kill Switch) prevents unauthorized use of your device by requiring your Gmail™ address and password to be entered before the device can be set up if it's reset using the alternate reset method.
When a trusted reset is performed, device protection doesn't apply.

Steps

  1. Review the following:
    • If you have a Google™ (Gmail) account on your smartphone / tablet, device protection is automatically turned on. If needed, you can add a Google account.
    • To turn off device protection, remove all Google accounts from the device.
