Here's how to check for and install software updates on your Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch).
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Software updates
    .
    A system update won't be received while roaming.
  3. Tap
    Check for software updates
    .
  4. Do one of the following:
    • If advised your software is up-to-date, tap
      OK
      .
    • If a software update is available:
      1. Tap
        Download
        .
      2. Once the download has been completed, tap
        Install Now
