Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch) - Move Files from Internal Storage to SD / Memory Card

Here's how to move files from internal storage on your Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch) to an SD / memory card.

To perform the steps below, an SD / memory card must be installed.

From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.

Tap

My Files

My Files is located in the 'Samsung' folder by default.

Tap

Internal storage

Navigate to the appropriate directory (e.g., DCIM, Music, etc.) where the files are currently located.

Not all file locations in the Categories section can be moved.

Tap the

Menu icon

(upper-right).

Tap

Edit

Select (check) the desired file(s).

To select all files, tap

All

(upper-left).

Tap

Move

(lower-left).

Tap

SD Card

If necessary, navigate to the appropriate directory (where you want to put the files).

Tap

Move here

(lower-right).
