Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch) - Add / Remove Face Recognition

Here's how to set up and remove facial recognition on your Galaxy Tab A (8.4 inch).
  1. Ensure a secure lock screen type has been set up.
  2. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  3. Navigate:
    Biometrics and security
    Face Recognition
    .
  4. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  5. Do any of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. From the 'Are you wearing glasses right now' screen, select 'yes' or 'no' then tap
        Continue
        .
      2. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the circle displayed onscreen.
      3. From the 'Face Recognition' menu, tap the
        switch
         to turn each option on or off (e.g., Face unlock, Stay on Lock screen, etc.).
    • To remove face data:
      1. From the 'Face recognition' menu, tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
