GizmoWatch 2 - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to set up your child's GizmoWatch 2 using the GizmoHub app.
  • Prior to activating your GizmoWatch 2, ensure:
    • the companion smartphone is connected to a cellular or Wi-Fi network.
    • all devices (Guardians, Caregivers, etc.) update the GizmoHub app (Google Play Store or Apple® App Store® ).
    • the date and time settings on the parent device are set automatically.
    • you don't have a data, text or Caller ID block on either the Gizmo device or the caregiver's smartphone.
  • If you're activating a replacement device or if the device has been reset, delete the previous Gizmo before completing the steps below.
  1. Power the watch on by holding the
    Power button
    .
    You'll hear audible prompts telling you that it's connecting to Verizon.
    Power the watch on by pressing the Power button
  2. Open the
    GizmoHub app
    GizmoHub app icon on the companion smartphone.
    If necessary, install the GizmoHub app via the Play Store or App Store.
  3. To continue, tap the
    Checkmark icon
    Checkmark icon on the watch.
    The watch is activated when it reads out the Gizmo's mobile number.
  4. From the 'Let's Get Started!' screen, choose one of the following:
  5. Enter your email address and password, then tap
    Sign In

    To sign in with a Google account, tap
    Sign in with Google
    .
  6. Tap
    Add Child
    .
  7. Enter the following info then tap
    Save
    :
    • Name
    • Gender
    • Birth Month
    • Birth Year
    • Your relationship to child
  8. Tap
    Add Gizmo
    .
    If you're activating a replacement GizmoWatch 2, tap
    Manage devices
    , remove the old device, then tap
    Add Gizmo
    .
  9. Tap
    Get Started
    .
    If prompted, tap
    Allow
    .
  10. Tap
    Scan QR Code
    then follow the onscreen instructions.
    If a QR code is unavailable or not working, tap
    Don't have a QR code
    then follow the onscreen instructions.
  11. Tap the
    Checkmark icon
    Checkmark icon on the GizmoWatch 2 to finish the pairing process.
  12. To continue, from the 'Add... number to your contacts' screen tap one of the following:
    If prompted, tap
    OK
    .
    • Yes, add to contacts
    • Don't add to contacts
  13. From the 'Success!' screen, tap
    Continue
    .
  14. Tap
    Set Up PIN
    .
    If you don't want a Security PIN, tap
    Skip
    .
  15. Enter a security PIN, enter it again to confirm then tap
    Save
    .
  16. Tap
    OK
    .
  17. Once the GizmoHub navigation screen appears, tap
    X
    to enter the app.
