Move Files from Internal Storage to SD / Memory Card

Moving files to an SD card frees up storage space and helps your moto g stylus run more efficiently.

Before you begin

To perform the steps below, an SD / memory card must be inserted.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Storage

Internal shared storage

Select a category (e.g., Photos & videos, Music & audio, etc.).

If applicable, select the directory/folder that contains the file(s).

Tap the

3-dot Menu

Tap

Select

then select the files(s).

Tap the

3-dot Menu

then tap

Move to folder

Tap

SD Card folders

If necessary, navigate to the directory (to move the files to) or create a new folder.

If prompted, tap

Allow access to SD Card

then tap

Allow
