Care Smart app - Link to Smartphone

Here's how to troubleshoot if your Care Smart watch or Apple Watch isn't connecting to the primary caregiver's smartphone.
  • It's necessary for the Care Smart watch or Apple Watch to link to the primary caregiver's Android Smartphone or Apple®iPhone® for the device to function properly.
  • Follow the steps below if the Care Smart watch or Apple Watch doesn't link to the smartphone during initial activation / setup.
  1. Ensure the primary caregiver has an Android Smartphone (OS 5.0 or later) or an Apple iPhone (iOS 9.0 or later) with a data plan and has data coverage.
  2. Ensure the primary caregiver has the Care Smart app installed (Google Play Store or Apple® App Store®).
  3. Ensure the date and time settings on the smartphone are set automatically.
  4. Ensure the primary caregiver has the correct mobile number of the Care Smart watch.
The primary caregiver follows the instructions on the app to enter the needed info.
If the Care Smart watch or Apple Watch does not link to the primary, you're not communicating with the device. Try turning Wi-Fi off and linking it again. Here are other possible causes:
    • The primary caregiver entered the wrong Care Smart watch or Apple Watch device mobile number.
    • Care Smart watch or Apple Watch mobile number has an SMS (i.e., text messaging) block or short code messaging isn't working properly.
    • The Care Smart watch or Apple Watch is not in a coverage area.
    • The phone doesn't have data coverage.
    • The phone has a Caller ID block.
