Change Default Cellular Data Number (Dual SIM Dual Standby)If you use two phone numbers on your Pixel smartphone, changing the default helps ensure calls and messages always originate from your preferred line.
Before you begin
Only one mobile number can receive calls / messages or use cellular data at a time.
The following Pixel phones don't support Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS):
- Pixel Phone by Google
- Pixel 2 / 2XL
- Pixel 3 / 3XL
- Pixel 3a / 3aXL
Steps
- Open theSettings app.
- Navigate: .
- Tap the name of the SIM you would like to use (name varies; example Verizon eSIM).This option is only available when a physical SIM card and a eSIM or two eSIMs are activated.
- Tap theUse SIM switchto turn on.If a line is active on a Second Number price plan (talk and text), do not select the Second Number line for data use.
