OnePlus 8 5G UW - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, Hotspot name, timeout settings, etc.) on your OnePlus 8 5G UW.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Wi-Fi & Network
    Mobile HotSpot & tethering
    Mobile HotSpot
    .
  3. Configure any of the following:
    • Mobile HotSpot name
    • Security
    • Password
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      1. Tap the Mobile Hotspot password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
    • AP Channel
    • AP Band (2.4 GHz or 5GHz)
    • Wi-Fi 6 standard hotspot
  4. Tap
    Turn off Mobile HotSpot automatically
     then select an option (e.g., After 5 min of inactivity, 10 min of inactivity, etc.).
