Manage Locked Folder Content

Take full control of your private files by using the Verizon Cloud app on your Apple® or Android™ device to securely add, transfer, or delete content in your PIN-protected folder.

Before you begin

To perform the steps below, ensure the Locked Folder feature is enabled.

Add Files

  1. Open the
    Verizon Cloud app
    .
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To add files within the Locked Folder:
      1. Navigate:
        Library
        Locked Folder
        .
        Content already in the Locked Folder is displayed.
      2. If prompted, scan your fingerprint (if enabled) or enter your PIN.
      3. Tap the
        Add icon
        , select any of the options then follow the onscreen instructions:
        • Scan document
        • Take photo
          The Camera app may request permissions if not already enabled.
        • Upload
        • Import from Library
          Select a category, select the desired files, tap the
          Checkmark icon
           then tap
          Move
           to confirm.
        • New folder
    • To add from media categories:
      1. Tap
        Photos
         or tap
        Library
         then select a media type.
      2. Tap
        Select
        .
      3. Select the desired file(s).
      4. Tap
        Move
        .
        If viewing the Photos section of the library, tap
        More
         then tap
        Move
        .
        If prompted, scan your fingerprint (if enabled) or enter your PIN.
      5. Tap
        Move
         to confirm.

Manage Media in Locked Folder

  1. Open the
    Verizon Cloud app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Library
    Locked Folder
    .
  3. If prompted, scan your fingerprint (if enabled) or enter your PIN.
  4. Tap the
    3-dot Menu
     then tap
    Select
    .
  5. Select the desired file(s).
  6. Tap any of the options at the bottom of the screen:
    • Download
      : Downloads the selected file(s) to your phone.
      On Android devices, downloaded files are stored in Internal Storage/Vault/Downloads.
    • Move
      : Moves the selected file(s) back to regular Cloud storage.
      Select Library from the Choose a location bar at the top of the screen then tap
      Move
       to confirm.
    • Delete
      : Permanently deletes the selected file(s) from your Cloud account.
      Tap
      Delete
       from the pop-up to confirm.
