Turning data on your Pixel 4a provides access to online services over the cellular network, while turning it off will impact that experience unless connected to Wi-Fi.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    SIMs
    .
  3. Do any of the following:
    • To turn data on / off:
      1. Tap the
        Mobile data switch
         to turn on or off.
      2. If prompted, tap
        OK
         to confirm.
    • To allow / deny data roaming:
      Depending on your plan, enabling data roaming may cause roaming charges (e.g., when traveling internationally).
      1. Tap the
        Roaming switch
         to turn on or off.
      2. If prompted to allow data roaming, tap
        OK
         to confirm if you agree.
