LG G Pad 5 10.1 FHD - Activate / Set Up Device

Here's how to quickly set up your G Pad 5 10.1 FHD.
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
  1. If powered off, press and hold the
    Power button
    until the 'LG G Pad 5 10.1 FHD' screen appears then release.

  2. From the 'Setup Wizard' screen, select the appropriate language then tap
    NEXT

  3. From the 'Tablet activation' screen, tap
    NEXT
    .
    If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
    If activating a new tablet on an existing phone number, ensure the old device is powered off.

  4. From the 'Set up Wi-Fi' screen, select a network, enter the password then tap
    CONNECT

    If you choose 'SKIP', you can add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.

  5. From the 'Copy apps & data' screen, select the preferred option, tap
    NEXT
    then follow the on-screen instructions.
    If you don't want to copy data from a previous device, tap
    DON'T COPY
    .
    If troubleshooting, don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.

  6. Sign in to your existing Google account or create a new one.
    If you choose 'Skip', you can add a Google account after setup is complete. Skip to step 8 if not adding a Google account.

  7. To continue, tap the appropriate links to view the Google Terms of Service and Privacy Policy documents, then tap

  8. From the 'Google Services' screen, select any of the following to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap
    ACCEPT

    • Back up to Google Drive
      This option only appears if a Google account was added in step 6.
    • Use location
    • Allow scanning
    • Send usage and diagnostic data

  9. From the 'Secure your tablet' screen, select one of the following, tap
    NEXT
    then follow the on-screen instructions:
    If you choose 'No, thanks', you can enable a screen lock or set up fingerprint recognition after setup is complete.

    • Set up only pattern, PIN or password
    • No, thanks

  10. If you added a Google account in step 6, from the 'Google Assistant' screen, view the info then tap
