TCL TAB 8" - Manage Data Usage

Here's how to change the data usage cycle and set data warnings and/or limits on your TCL TAB 8.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Advanced
    Data usage
    .
  3. Tap
    Data warning & limit
     then do any of the following:
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Mobile data is turned off when the data usage reaches the limit indicated by the orange line. To use apps needing data, use Wi-Fi or adjust the limit.
      1. Tap
        Set data limit
         to turn on.
      2. Review the 'Limit data usage' prompt, then tap
        OK
        .
      3. Tap
        Data limit
        .
      4. Enter the preferred data limit (e.g., 2.0GB) then tap
        SET
        .
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the black warning line.
      1. Tap
        Alert me
        .
      2. Review the prompt, then tap
        OK
        .
      3. Tap
        Data warning
        .
      4. Enter the preferred data amount (e.g., 2.0 GB) then tap
        SET
        .
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
      1. Tap
        App data usage cycle
        .
      2. From the 'Usage cycle reset date' prompt, select the cycle date then tap
        SET
        .
        Refer to your statement for the bill cycle date.
