TCL 10 5G UW - Manage RTT Settings

Here's how to use the real-time text (RTT) feature on your TCL 10 5G UW.
Real-time text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written without waiting or the need for an additional device.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the
    Phone icon
    Phone icon (lower-left).
    If unavailable, swipe screen up to access all apps then tap
    Phone
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Menu icon Menu icon
    Settings
    Accessibility
    .
  3. Tap
    Real Time Text
    .
  4. Tap
    RTT Visibility
    then select from one of the following options:
    • Only During Calls
    • When Placing Calls
  5. After choosing the appropriate setting, tap the
    back arrow icon
    Back arrow icon (upper-left) several times to return to the calling screen.
If 'When Placing Calls' was selected under the RTT visibility setting, from a Home screen, tap the
Phone icon
Phone icon then make a phone call.
If unavailable, swipe screen up to access all apps then tap
Phone
.
Once the call connects, RTT displays.

If 'Only During Calls' was selected under the 'RTT visibility' setting, while on a call, navigate:

Tap More then Show RTT keyboard
While on a call, tap the
End icon
(at the top) to end the call.
